As per Section 1.4 and 2.4 of the RQP, recyclers are required to maintain a means to provide notice to the Stewardship Program(s) of certain incidents or changes in operations. In order to streamline this notification process, particularly where a recycler is operating under multiple provincial programs, the Recycler Qualification Office (RQO) has established an Incident Reporting Hotline. Recyclers may contact the RQO by email or post to satisfy these reporting requirements:

In addition, the Incident Reporting Hotline may be used by any third-party to report any issues, concerns or complaints with regard to the operation of a RQO approved recycler.  All reasonable and substantiated claims within the scope of the mandate of the RQO will be investigated.  Sources of any issues, concerns or complaints reported via the Incident Reporting Hotline will be kept strictly confidential however; issues may be followed up on and reported on as required by the RQP or applicable law(s).
